New satellite imaging concept for locating vessels
A team from the University of Leicester is trialling a concept that uses satellite imagery to more accurately locate vessels and aircraft at sea.

Shipping industry should be prepared for global sulphur cap in 2020, says ICS
The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has agreed that the shipping and bunker refining industries should work to the possibility that the global 0.5% sulphur in fuel cap, required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is more likely to be implemented worldwide from 2020, rather than 2025.

UK vessel power funding
Innovate UK in partnership with Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has launched a funding competition for collaborative research and development projects to improve the ways in which energy is managed on vessels.
